The Story Behind the Piece

Phosphora was photographed in Puglia, Italy. I captured this image while staying in the countryside, surrounded by olive groves. One morning, I wandered the property with my camera in hand, drawn, as I often am, to the overlooked details of nature. I noticed the bark of a pine tree had split open, and a vivid orange sap was slowly dripping down its surface. I raised my camera and took a frame, not realizing my settings were still dialed in from the night before. What I captured was an accidental long exposure of tree bark. The result was soft, abstract, and unexpectedly expressive. The movement transformed something simple into something almost otherworldly. Phosphora is about presence. About slowing down enough to notice the subtle language of the natural world.

Artwork Description

Phosphora is an abstract study of light, texture, and time. Soft bands of motion sweep across the surface, where warm amber tones meet cooler lavenders and grays, dissolving form into feeling. Each piece of artwork is printed on museum grade, acid free, fine art paper, with the use of the highest quality archival inks.

Framing

Our solid wood frames are imported from Italy, then cut and joined locally in Southern California. Prints are expertly mounted with a 2-inch mat board to provide the sturdy feel, flush setting and high quality aesthetic you'd find in any fine art gallery. Each frame is handcrafted with a sheet of UV-blocking acrylic glass and comes with self leveling hanging hardware, so your artwork is ready to hang as soon as it arrives.

Shipping is free to all customers in the Continental U.S. All orders will be shipped within 5 business days of the order being placed. Once shipped, you can expect your order to arrive in 3 to 10 days. You will be able to track your packages through a tracking number which will be emailed to you after purchase. Please ensure that your order is being delivered to an address where you can safely acquire your package, as we cannot take responsibility for stolen packages.
